The pre-qualification race has begun for the UK’s largest regional building framework, worth up to £3.9bn.
Up to fifty firms will be shortlisted to bid for the UK Southern Regional Framework Agreement, which consolidates three existing schemes covering the South West, South East and London.
With a pipeline of between £2.4bn to £3.9bn over four years, the new deal will supersede the Construction Framework South West, iESE South East and London Construction Framework for Major Projects.
The framework is being jointly procured by Devon County Council, Hampshire County Council and Haringey Council in three lots, each mainly covering schools, emergency services and civic building projects:
- Lot 1: Southern Construction Framework, CFSW
Projects valued over £1m. Total value up to £800m. - Lot 2: Southern Construction Framework, South East
Projects valued over £4m. Total value up to £1.5bn. - Lot 3: Southern Construction Framework, London
Projects valued over £10m. Total value up to £1.6bn.
Firms have until 1 July 2014 to submit PQQs. Shortlisted contractors will be invited to tender for the framework on 19 September. Further information can be found on the Hampshire County Council tendering portal.
