Housing Association Affinity Sutton is hosting a contractors’ day, ahead of inviting bids to rebuild an Ealing housing estate.
The £55m regeneration project of Ealing’s Dean Gardens Estate, known locally as Sherwood Close, will include the demolition of existing estates and the construction of 300 new homes, including affordable housing and market sale.
The project is due to commence in April 2015, and run through to summer 2020.
The 1960s estate currently provides 209 one and two bedroom flats, and is said to be poorly laid out, with few links between the estate the wider area. The new proposals aim to create a more sustainable neighbourhood, with affordable and private homes built within well laid out landscape, with better access links to the Broadway and wider community.
The contractor event will be held on Friday 18 July 2014 at 14:30hrs. To register your interest, email Michelle Hannah at michelle.hannah@echarris.com.
