Luton Airport is looking to pre-qualify firms to deliver a £100m improvement project.
The contract includes improvements to the terminal building, including construction of a new pier. A second and third package will cover civil works for two new traffic lanes to the south of Airport Way, leading into a new drop off system in the central terminal area, to ease congestion. This round of improvements forms part of Luton Airport’s fifteen year, £1.5bn expansion plan to help ease air traffic congestion in the south east. Luton Borough Council can grant permission for works designed to double annual passenger capacity. Firms have until 24 July 2014 to complete PQQs.
