Contractors are sought for a £9m project to refurbish part of the House of Commons.
The Grade II listed building at 1 Canon Row will be “will be brought up to a standard suitable for use as office accommodation and also fulfil Parliaments’ public duty of care to maintain the architectural and historical significance of the building.”
Works will include the replacement of mechanical and electrical services, the insertion or alteration of interior walls and doorways, external and internal repairs and full redecoration. A key part of the project is the insertion of a lift and stair core.
The contract notice can be viewed here on the Ted website, and firms have until June 10 to register their interest on the Parliament UK online tender portal.
